Join the Campaign “Let Us Reduce Our Debts Towards Invalids in Abkhazia”

The war is ended, some of those contributed to the independence of Abkhazia are under soil (God bless them) but war veterans together with them are living. Unfortunately they could not leave their bad without getting help from someone else. They need several equipments in order to live. Because they sacrificed their eyes, hands, legs or feet for their motherland.

Today, if we walk on the free Abkhazian land, breath the air and swim in the banks we are grateful to those who died for and who became war veterans.

While benefiting from these possibilities, we could not do any thing for our martyrs. But it is possible to lessen our debts and can help to make easy the invalids’ life by participating “Let Us Reduce Our Debts Towards Invalids in Abkhazia” campaign.

The campaign will be leaded by two invalids who are using wheelchairs; Kupalba Selim Ozen (from Turkey) and Alkhas Thagushev (from AIS- The Association of the Invalids of Abkhazia, Sukhum). The coordination of the campaign and collection of financial and material help will be managed by the chairman of the Association to Beautify, Develop, Environmentally Protect  the Villages of Efteniye Valley (Efteniye Vadisi Köyleri Güzelleştirme, Kalkındırma, Çevre Koruma Derneği) Ekrem Akbas (Hıshba).

Your contribution to the project while spiritually relieving yourselves, it will motivate several future projects. You may join to the campaign by buying certain vehicle(s) and sending it to related address (association) or transferring the related amount to below mentioned accounts.

Today there are 6778 war veterans and invalids in Abkhazia and your minimum contribution will cause a difference in their life. We invite sensitive individuals to join the campaign and thank to those who will join.

NOTE: The contributions and equipments bought will be announced in our website. Besides we will add the addresses of the shops selling the equipments.

He was born in 1975 Duzce Efteniye (Aksu) and living in Sakarya, Turkey.  

Because of an accident he injured his spinal cord and using wheelchair since 2000. He is working together with his brother in their construction and electronic company. He was the chairman of Adapazari City Disability Forum in 2004-2006. He was a nominee during the parliamentary election of 2007. He is an advisory member of Turkish Disability Association, Sakarya  

Selim was invited to Abkhazia during the Congress of the Abkhaz- Abazin People in 2007. For him it was a chance to establish links with invalids who are sharing the same fate with him, in motherland. After that he organized this campaign together with Alkhas Thagushev in order to help invalids in Abkhazia.

He is the chairman of the association centered in Aksu village. He will deal with buying related equipments with collected money and collection of the materials in the Association. All collected and bought materials will be send to Abkhazia.

Sukhum centered association is dealing with the help and rehabilitation activities for disables. The chairman of the association Alkhas Thagushev is a war veteran and using wheelchair. Besides he was a parliamentary member in 2005-2007.

3.a) Needed Equipment

All the collected materials and wheels will be sending to AIS- The Association of the Invalids of Abkhazia, Sukhum, Abhazya.
